A Happy Christmas Eve

It was an eventful Christmas here around the Gentry house. After Christian's crazy weekend of holiday work at Williams-Sonoma, it was time to start the Christmas festivities. Sunday was the Ward Christmas program. It went rather well, considering several choir members were missing, due to the program happening a week later than anticipated(See "White Christmas" post below). Most of what was done with the ward choir was out of the Oxford 100 Carols for Choir (Wilcocks and Rutter). Since most of the pieces are accompanied by organ, I had to be creative with my improvisational piano chops. This basically translates to me leaving out the tenor part 70% of the time. But, it went well and I think people felt the Spirit, or at least, a rowdy primary kid punching them in the back.

On Christmas Eve we invited a bunch of friends over to enjoy some food, Yankee Swap and Christmas Caroling. It was a lot of fun. Above is a little slideshow with captions that probably reek of inside jokes. I apologize in advance. Click on the album or here to get the full view with captions and stuff.
