Realization

Today I had the day off for Veterans Day; it was so nice to sleep in, do chores around the house, work on some Christmas crafts, and be lazy. I had few realizations today however:

1. Having a day off is a lot funner when Christian is home to spend the day with.

2. I go through a lot more toilet paper when I am home all day; I am going to need to stock up at Costco when I am on maternity leave.

3. There is nothing to watch on TV during the day!

I really think these are all things I already knew and have been reminded of again this Patriotic day.

Just wait until your little guy is pulling all the toilet paper off the rolls - you'll really have to stock up then :)

And, I am impressed that you are working on Christmas crafts before Thanksgiving.

WOw -- toilet paper consumption confessions. Even I'm not that brutally honest on my blog. Also, about the daytime tv schedule, you just aren't applying yourself to the new and lower standards you'll set for yourself on maternity leave. After you have become crazy from 4 hours of sleep each night, everything will seem interesting, and soon you will find yourself working on something and say, "Oh Shoot! I'm 12 minutes late for Arthur!" and you will abandon your work and stare mindlessly for 18 beautiful minutes. You may not even know what gripping PBS Kids show to which I'm referring, but you will and you will LOVE it!! And don't think my older child got me into it after having my second baby. I was into it by the time Ethan was 2 months old.
