After Two weeks of Child Birthing Classses

Christian's thoughts: "This is going to be so much fun!", "I think you should try to go natural.", "I am so excited!"

Laci's thoughts: "There is no way I can do this!!", "I am going to have an epidural!", "If the baby comes out of my body, then I think it's natural.", "Is it too late to change my mind?"

That sounds about right...but I have to say going "Natural" will be the most empowering thing you have ever done...there really is nothing that compares. But, even if you don't you still get a beautiful baby when you are done:) Good Luck.

Trust me, in a couple more weeks, you will be ready to birth that kid out your ear to be done with pregnancy.

I am going to keep my mouth (mostly) shut about natural childbirth, because I respect everyone's choices, and I have gotten my self in a lot of trouble opening my big mouth about this subject, but I have loved, loved doing natural childbirth with my kids. Whatever you choose, is your right decision though. Good luck.

Labor is amazing.

I felt the same way, I was hoping for a miracle of some way to get Dylon out without actually having to go through all the pain of labor.
It is true though, when the time is there, you'll do anything to get the baby out!

Good luck with what ever you choose! I've tried "natural" every time but I am a whip and get the drugs ASAP. It will be great- whatever you decide!

As a proud receiver of not one, but two epidurals when I had Soren, I feel don't feel any less of a mom for taking advantage of modern medicine to push a huge baby out of a not huge place. I tense up like crazy when I'm in pain, so I think it would have been a pretty miserable experience for all involved.

However, I think next time around I will try to skip the pre-epidural painkillers they gave me since they made me a little bit loopy and just take the epidural when I'm ready.

Logan also wishes that I will do them natural. He and Christian can start a club.

You'll do great, whatever route you decide to go. And the moment they hand you your slimy, crying baby is just about the most incredible and surreal moment ever. I still choke up a little when I look at the pictures from the delivery room.
