The key to my happiness is get aways. Sometimes when life gets too stressful I just have to get out of my environment and have some fun. This weekend I got some much needed R and R, not to mention some quality time with two of my favorite little guys.
Friday afternoon we drove a short 1.5 hours to Tilton, New Hampshire which is in the Great Lake's Region. We stayed at a lovely hotel on Lake Winnisaquam. The hotel was an adorable place with old school arcade games, ping pong, a pool table, a swimming pool, exercise room, and a sauna. It also had a restaurant connected to it, and for staying the hotel they gave us 2 free meals each night. We really didn't have to leave the hotel if we didn't want to, it was a lot of fun.
All three of us were hooked on the arcade games. I love me a good pinball machine.
As you can see Berke man was pretty much in love.
We had lots of fun swimming with our friend, Mr. Turtle. Saturday we woke up to a fresh coat of snow, so we decided a dip in the heated pool was better than going outside.
Berke enjoyed playing with Mr. Turtle all weekend especially while watching the Disney Chanel each morning. Oh the joys of hotel cable tv!
Berke really wanted to participate in the ping pong game.....but his reflexes were a bit tooooooo slow. He was a great ball chaser however.

The outlet malls were just down the street; lets face it retail therapy is my families best friend. So we had a nice dose of therapy and everyone walked away happy as a clam. I just love outlet shopping, I can find the best deals!
Sunday we took a nice drive around the area, and saw the beauty of Lake Winnipesaukee.
The whole area looks like it is hoppin' in the summer but is sadly quite dead in the winter.
I feel refreshed and renewed; I am ready to conquer another week of work, kid, workout, errands, etc.
It was wonderful to spend time with my family whom I love so much.

Looks like a fantastic trip! I'm glad you all got to get away and spend some quality time together. I've always wanted to see Lake Winnipesaukee.
I LOVE visiting resort areas in the off season. I love how quiet and peaceful they are, and how friendly and relaxed the locals can be. That was our experience on the cape when we were there... what was it, 10 days ago? So nice.
