I am always getting told that Berkeley looks like "The boy from A Christmas Story" or "The boy from Jerry McGuire." I always figure it is because he has blond hair and glasses, but never felt there was any real resemblance.
I came across some wrapping paper I have with Ralphy from A Christmas Story a couple weeks back; I was shocked at what a resemblance there was between Ralphy and Berkey; I did a side by side, and as you can see it is a dead ringer!
We decided to watch this show as a family last weekend to introduce Berkeley to his dopple ganger; every time Ralphy came on screen, Berke would ask, "Is that me?"
It was all fun and games, until Raphy started beating up the bully in the movie and Berkeley asked, "Is he killing that bad guy?"I did my best to explain to a three year old the complex dynamics in that scene that he could not possibly understand. I'm not sure that he got the right message, so I can chalk that one up as a parenting fail, but other than that part, he appeared to enjoy the movie.
The next morning Berke was playing with the tape dispenser and Christian asked him to give it to him. Berke's response was priceless, "No way, Old Man!" Clearly we have a little Ralphy in the making.
Now we just have to find a huge sexy leg lamp and our family will be complete (minus the little brother, but I am sure John could fit that role).

Well, are you going to buy him a Red Rider BB gun, or are you going to leave that up to the coolest aunt and uncle (i.e., us)?
