The Seven Day Forcast includes SNOW!!!

This is the worst winter we have experienced since we have been in Boston. Every week in January we have had at least one big snow storm (6 inches or more). The schools have not had a full week of school since the beginning of December. We have had a few snow days from work and many snow delay days (come in a few hours late).
We are dealing the best we can with all this snow, but there is no where for it to go on these tiny Boston streets. The snow banks are so high it is difficult to see other cars, pedestrians and bikers. I am amazed to see how many runners still go out in this weather.
This week looks like more of the same; another snow storm Tuesday or Wednesday. Six more inches at least! Oh joy! Yesterday it was nearly 40 degrees and fooled me into thinking Spring was just around the corner, but then I looked around and saw the piles of snow and remembered it was just wishful thinking.
This kid enjoys playing in the snow, only problem is he calls snow "raining". He is SLOWLY learning about ice and how it isn't the friendliest of creatures. He looks at me and says, "I fall."

I normally love the snow, but it's making it really hard to get a run in. How are you getting your runs in? I tried doing my long run outside this past Saturday, but I got tired of playing chicken on the roads with the cars, so I went home and only got half of the miles in that I needed too. And now they are saying MORE snow this week? And ICE rain? Be safe Laci!

Did you sign up for a marathon yet?

Get some skis on that kid. You have Bunny Hill in your front yard!
