My little Jedi Knight turns FIVE

My adorably sweet little boy is growing up way to fast!  He turned five years old on New Years Eve and wanted to have a Star Wars Party to bring in the new year.  Christian has been telling him for the last 5 months that when he turns 5 years old that he can watch Star Wars.  Berke did not forget this and has been anxiously awaiting this day.
This cute face woke up to balloons all over his room and presents at the kitchen table.  He was spoiled by his parents and grandparents per the usual.
Lucky for this birthday boy his Grandma was in town to help celebrate his birthday.  The entire family went to his preschool in the afternoon and brought cupcakes to his class.  It was a small class due to the holiday, but my little boy felt super special and that is all that matters.
Berke and some of his classmates and two of his teachers.  We sure do love his wonderful preschool, his friends there and his wonderful and patient teachers.
That night we had Auntie G and Aunt Stefie over as well as some neighbors up the street for a small Star Wars celebration.  We served fun Star Wars themed food; I can take no credit for the ideas as I got them all from a blog, but it turned out to be a lot of fun!

Everyone at the party had Star Wars shirts.
Auntie G and Aunt Stefie made Berke these light sabers which Berke absolutely adores.  They are soft enough to actually hit with, and he and his dad have not stopped "fighting" since the party.  After watching the movie, Berke now says, "Use the force!" when fighting with them, which is pretty adorable.
Here is my happy little Jedi Knight with his Star Wars cake!
Happy Birthday little man!

Even the dogs got dressed up for the occasion.  McDuff has a Yoda shirt, Bohdie is wearing Darth Vader (Dark Vader according to Berke) and Millie is sporting Princess Leia.
Auntie G also came through with these amazing Princess Leia buns for Vivi, which she totally rocked for her big brothers party.
After food, cake and light saber wars we all settled in to watch Star Wars episode 4 which Berke LOVED!   Jedi Berke stayed up until 11 p.m. and then crashed from all the excitement. Everyone else left shortly after and Christian, my mom and I rang in the rest of the evening with Carson Daily and then went to bed.

Happy New Year and Happy Birthday to my favorite Jedi Knight, who uses the force mostly for good!
