Topsfield Fair

We are trying to do some new New England things now that we have been here 8 years.  I have heard from many people for a few years how fun the Topsfield Fair is.  I love fairs and haven't been to one in nearly 7 years, so it was time.
The kids had a great time, Vivi loved looking at the animals, Berke loved the rides and games.  We all loved the yummy food and watching the pig races.  There was good music and TONS of people.  They have a demolition derby, but with a kid who hates loud sounds and a little one who doesn't like to sit still, we had to miss out.  Did you know that I LOVE DEMOLITION DERBYs?!?!

Papa and Hope visit

My dad and his new wife, Hope, came for a quick visit over Labor Day weekend.  We had a wonderful time with them.  We enjoyed the Duck Boat Tours around Boston, a Red Sox game, a trip to Rockport and a day at the lake by our house.  Vivi was't feeling the best during the trip, but she loved spending time with her Papa.

We enjoyed a concert in Glouster and watched the boats sail in and out of town.  The kids and I enjoyed dancing around and getting all our wiggles out.
It was a lovely visit, especially for the kiddos!  Papa spoiled us all per his usual.

Fall Fun at Tougas Farms

We had a lovely time during our annual apple picking outing this year.  We went to Tougas Farm this year, which is a big orchard full of all the fun, but that also means more crowded.  We decided to get there early so they wouldn't sell out of the apple cider donuts before we got there.  We picked apples, had a picnic lunch, played on the playground and fed the goats at the petting zoo.

The kids loved eating apples as we picked, they both ate at least 3 apples a piece.  Berke and Vivi were both super into picking apples this  year which was fun.  Last time we went apple picking at this orchard, Berke was on my shoulders and I was pregnant with Little Red.

Bringing the wagon was the best idea of the day!
We enjoyed making apple struddle, apple crisp and dipping apples in caramel with all the apples we collected.

University of Utah Alumni BBQ 2015

I've been on the New England University of Utah Alumni Board for 3 years now.  This is our 3rd Alumni BBQ and each year the people change.  It's always fun to connect with other Utes and see the incredible things they are doing.
I love getting my kiddos all full of Utah Ute pride!

First Grade for My First Baby

And he's off!  My baby is in the first grade!  He is reading level 2 books like a champ, and is finally enjoying it!  We have a fun year ahead of us (hopefully).
These two will miss their morning routine of playing legos together before breakfast.  Oh man, I always hate it when summer is over.

I'm so proud of this handsome kid and the sweet and smart boy he has become.

Exploring our new hood

We moved to Framingham, MA about 3 months ago, we are loving our house, the neighborhood is nice and friendly, but we are still exploring the area and trying to figure out what to do, where to go, etc. etc.  It is hard to leave a community after 8 years and Somerville will always have a piece of our hearts.  We are however very excited to be staring a new chapter in the "Fram" or the "Ham"
Sunday afternoon we headed to a newer park in the area, Cushing Park and the kiddos had a blast.  It has a great play area, but also had a lot of space for Berkeley to ride his bike around.  I think I will come back and jog here as Berke ride's his bike next go around.

Hello, Nana

My mom came to visit us for an entire week and we had such a blast with her!  I love my mom and it is the VERY BEST when we get her all to ourselves and don't have to share her with anyone else.
She took a red eye and arrived in Boston on Monday afternoon (after a little connecting flight hiccup).  We explored Boston, starting off with Frog Pond, because it's my kids favorite.

We enjoyed the sights of the freedom trail, even with a little boy with a high fever who slept in the stroller most of the afternoon.
We also visited the Salem Willows which was beautiful and lovely and perfect for picnicing.
We also visited the arcade and played pin ball and skeeball and all the fun arcade games you could imagine.

We visited the House of Seven Gables which was really beautiful, historic and fascinating.

We ended the day in Rockport for a yummy seafood dinner.

We finally made it to Maine after a day of cleaning up puke from a car sick baby and a little outlet shopping for back to school for Professor Gentry.  The beach was beautiful!

Vivienne put on Grandma Lucile's dress and it was stunning.
I also got my mom for 1:1 time as we attended a Red Sox game and got make overs at Sephora.
Mom was wonderful to help me turn my yard into a breathtaking place; we spend 7 hours in the heat working our tails off.
The kids loved seeing Grandma and it was a wonderful trip!

Thank you for being so gracious mom!  We love you so much!
